Dr. Mills grew up in rural northeast Nebraska.  She attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for undergraduate studies and graduated with a degree in Animal Science in 1995.  She continued her education at Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in Manhatten, KS and graduated in 1999.  She moved to Colorado and has been practicing small animal medicine here ever since.  She loves to go snowboarding with her husband Zach who is also a veterinarian.  They also spend a lot of time in the mountains going hiking, snowshoeing and camping with their three dogs: a chocolate lab named "Kayla," a yellow lab named "Abo," and a golden retriever named "Chance."  For relaxation, she likes to curl up on the couch with her cat "Blanca" and a good book.
