Dental Procedures

dental Procedures Information

Dogs and Cats can suffer from dental disease just as humans can. Cleaning helps prevent gum inflammation, tooth loss, and oral pain. Failure to manage your pet's dental health may cause detrimental effects to other organs. Yearly dental cleanings can help prevent this. While under anesthesia, the patient's teeth are cleaned with an ultrasonic scaler and polished.

With all surgical procedures, we recommend pre-anesthesia blood work.  An IV catheter is mandatory for dental procedures.

IV Catheter
An IV catheter placement is Required for all surgical and dental patients regardless of age. The placement of this catheter allows the veterinarian staff to safely and quickly administer fluids before, during, and after surgical procedures.

All surgical patients are REQUIRED to have blood work performed at a cost of $83.50.
X-rays
If deemed necessary, x-rays of concerning teeth will be taken.

Pain medication
Pain medication is always recommended for our patient's recovery.

Additional cost for Antibiotics if extractions and/or gingivitis are present may apply.
Some patients will have a Therapy Laser Treatment performed after their dental procedure to help with healing and inflammation. If the doctor feels the patient would benefit from this treatment, we will perform. One reason we would perform this treatment is with any dental procedure that the patient has 6 or more extractions.
The cost of this treatment is  $19.50.
